Environmentally Preferred Products (EPP) are products that have a reduced effect on human health and the environemnt more than other products. EPP is documented in the Maryland Green Purchasing Guideline, which was developed to meet the Green Maryland Act of 2010; State Finance and Procurement Article 14-405 of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

Almost all of our products have EPP qualities and are manufactured with recycled materials wherever possible. Maryland Correctional Enterprises (MCE) is continually striving to reduce our negative impact on the environment with new and innovative practices and procedures.
